Financial abuse occurs in 99% of domestic violence cases (NNEDV). This summer, WIT is again addressing this crucial aspect of power and control though a new group series for Survivors, titled “Moving Ahead Through Financial Empowerment.” This time, we’re focusing on COVID-19 specifically.

Participants will learn about the dynamics of financial abuse, and how to regain control and confidence of their finances. Furthermore, this 5-week series will teach fundamentals of budgeting, credit, and savings, all in a trauma-informed, empowerment-based setting. Participants who complete all sessions will earn a certificate, and may be eligible for a matching savings program.

This FREE series is open to people of all gender identities and sexual orientations ages 14+.

WHEN: Wednesdays, June 10* - July 8, from 6:30-7:30 pm
*The first session is mandatory
