Empower Hour is a Women In Transition signature annual event.

This year, we will be discussing the history, evolution, strides and continued challenges of domestic and intimate partner violence, via a panel discussion.

Please join us as our esteemed panel brings stories and personal journeys to life.

Panelists:
Founding Volunteer, TBD. The panelist will share how Women In Transition (WIT) began and the challenges facing domestic violence from the early 1970s.

Amy Nieves, Survivor and WIT Board Member.

Amber McGee, Esq., Philadelphia Legal Assistance. They are a partner and neighbor of WIT, and Amber will address the current legal challenges and options for survivors through the Philadelphia court system.

Elizabeth Pride, Senior Project Manager of Domestic Violence Strategies at the Office of Health and Human Services, City of Philadelphia. Philadelphia’s efforts, challenges, and support of survivors of domestic violence.
