Student Internships

Internships provide the opportunity for college students or graduates to work directly with either the Counseling Team or with the Community Education and Training (CEAT) Team.

Counseling Interns, who serve for a two-semester term, provide direct services to clients by staffing the Lifeline, assisting with support groups and intake appointments. interns are required to participate in WIT’s 45-hour Crisis Intervention Training program. The classroom sessions, held in our Center City office, are usually scheduled twice a week in the evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for eight weeks.

CEAT Interns serve a one-semester or summer term during which they assist the Community Education and Training team with the development of educational and resource materials, and represent WIT at a variety of community education events.
