Women In Transition (WIT) provides empowerment counseling, referrals and advocacy to women in Philadelphia who are endangered by domestic violence and/or substance abuse.
Thank you to our supporters, our sponsors, and our community for making WIT’s 45th anniversary an enormous success! On September 29, 2016 we celebrated 45 years of empowering women to change their lives at L’ETAGE.

Centrally located in Center City, Women In Transition is an early intervention and prevention agency – helping women identify the causes and prevalence of domestic or substance abuse in their lives and make long-lasting changes for themselves and their children.
Our programs help women make positive changes in their lives, actualize their potential, and build lives for themselves and their children that are free of violence and free from addictions to drugs and alcohol.
WIT also provides trainings, workshops, and systems advocacy in the community to help build a society that will no longer tolerate violence against women and children.
